Mrs. Wilmore is the kind of teacher that just knows what kids love! Animals, animal, animals! She has a permit that allows her to pick up dead animals that she then can go to the taxidermy shop and have the skins saved so we all can learn about them! Check out this cool animals that live in Ohio and even New Albany itself!
Beavers... There is one living near the golf course in the links cutting down trees right now! Not a great spot for a beaver to create his home! Hope he finishes soon!

Geese... We see these everywhere! Don't feed these or any birds human food, especially bread! That could really be bad for their digestion!

Chipmunks live primarily on the ground and create their nests in burrows.

Snapping turtles... Not so cute when they are snapping at you! Yikes.

Red squirrels... Even this albino red squirrel lived here among New Albany trees!

Coyotes... These wild dogs live in packs and hunt any little animal!

Muskrats... They are all over New Albany near any types of water. If you see wholes on the side of a water source, it will be these rodents.

Mice... Super important for the ecosystem as they are the food source for almost all other animals in the area! Get a pet fox and you won't have to worry about these little things finding their way into your house! Ha!

Bear... Well not to worry these won't be in New Albany anymore, but they used to be!

Deer... These are everywhere, including my garden! Love to watch these walk through my yard though.

Opossums... These rodents play dead when frightened which is helpful against predators but not so great against moving vehicles. Poor things!

Minks... That's right these animals that are so popular in fancy coats live in New Albany. They help keep the population of muskrats and mice down.
